Volex selects complead for screening and ongoing monitoring

In short

Volex, the London listed manufacturer of power and connectivity solutions, has selected complead for name screening and ongoing monitoring. Every counterparty is screened against 3,500+ lists and rescreened continuously, with a full record of every search for audit.

complead today announced that Volex, the London listed manufacturer of power and connectivity solutions for mission critical applications, has selected complead for name screening and ongoing monitoring. Volex screens the companies it works with against sanctions, PEP and watchlists, and keeps every screened name under continuous rescreening, so a change in a counterparty’s status is caught after the first check, not only at the start.

Volex chose complead after a hands on trial, in which its finance and legal teams tested the platform before the contract was signed.

“complead’s portal is easy to use, and after our trial it became our preferred solution for screening the companies we work with. Ongoing monitoring and a full record of every search give us confidence that our checks stay current,” said Chris Yates, Group Financial Controller at Volex.

What Volex runs on complead

Volex uses two complead products on complead Fusion, the engine of complead’s AI native platform for AML, KYC and fraud:

  • Name screening: every name is checked against 3,500+ sanctions, PEP and watchlists from 220+ jurisdictions, refreshed every 15 minutes
  • Ongoing monitoring: every screened name is rescreened continuously against that same data, so a new designation or a change to a listed record raises a review within minutes instead of at the next periodic check
  • A full audit trail: every search is recorded with who searched, what was searched, when, and the result, including searches that return no match

Screening for a global manufacturer

A manufacturer with sites and partners in many countries has to know who it is dealing with on every contract, and that answer can change after onboarding. With continuous rescreening and a complete search record, Volex can show at any time that a counterparty was screened, when, and with what result.

“Volex, listed on the London Stock Exchange, builds the power and connectivity behind mission critical systems, and its compliance has to be just as dependable. With name screening and ongoing monitoring on complead, every company Volex works with is checked at the start and watched after that, with a record of every search. We are proud to support the Volex team.”
