Compliance is a serious craft. Come and be good at it.

Complead runs sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and case management for more than 800 financial institutions in over 70 countries. Most of the team fits in one building on the Bosphorus, and we are hiring across six teams.

What this team actually is

Careers pages usually describe a company nobody works at. Four things are true about this one, and you should decide about all four before you send a CV.

Engineering, second floor Customer success on a live call Standup, Tuesday morning Sales, mid pipeline review Lunch on the long table Product, whiteboard argument
Photographs to shoot Six to eight portraits of people at work, 4:5, on the floor. Nobody posing.

You own something in week one

No bench, no shadowing period. A new engineer ships to a module customers use. A new seller carries a region. It is the scope a large company would hand you at thirty-five, and nothing arrives in a neat package.

We work from the office

Every role on this page is on-site in Istanbul. A choice, not a leftover policy: compliance products come out of constant argument between engineering, product and the people on customer calls, and that argument is faster in a room. If you want remote or hybrid, we are the wrong company, and better said here than in the third interview.

The work has weight

What we build decides whether a payment clears, an account opens, a case reaches a regulator. A false positive wastes someone's week. A false negative lets money laundering through. Nobody here has to be told why the detail matters.

We are younger than our customers

Most of the team is in their twenties and early thirties, sitting across from compliance officers who have been in the field longer than we have been alive. That gap closes with preparation, not confidence.

Your work is in seventy countries by Friday

There is no domestic version of this job. Screening logic written in Kuzguncuk on Monday is checking payments in Baku, Frankfurt and Singapore by the end of the week. Every role here is a global role, including the junior ones.

70+countries with customers 800+institutions live 3offices, New York, London and Istanbul

What twelve months here looks like

Not a promise, a pattern. This is roughly how the last few people in each team spent their first year. Ask about it in the interview and we will give you the unedited version.

Engineering and Product

From first pull request to owning a surface.

week 1 Local environment, first merged pull request, and a walk through how a screening request actually travels the platform.
month 3 You own a module or a product surface, with its metrics and its release notes. On-call rotation. You have already talked to a customer about it.
month 12 You are the person the team asks before a design decision in your area, and you write the quarterly plan for it.

Sales

From first territory to closing regulated buyers.

week 1 The product, the regulation, the competitive picture. You sit in on live calls before you make your own.
month 3 Your own territory and pipeline, running discovery with compliance officers without a chaperone.
month 12 You have closed in more than one regulatory regime and you know why each of them said yes.

Growth and Marketing

From first channel to owning the pipeline number.

week 1 You read two quarters of pipeline before you touch a channel, and you sit in on sales calls from the first week.
month 3 You own a channel and the number under it, from first touch through to qualified pipeline.
month 12 You set the demand plan for a market we are entering and defend the spend behind it.

Customer Success

From shadowing calls to owning a book.

week 1 Product certification, ticket queue, sitting in on live onboarding sessions with existing customers.
month 3 Named accounts of your own, including at least one international institution, with renewal responsibility.
month 12 You run implementations end to end and your escalations shape what product builds next quarter.

You are joining at the rebrand, not after it

Sanction Scanner became Complead because the product outgrew the name. Same team, same data, a much bigger surface. The next two years are the United States, the DACH region and the funding round that pays for both. Everything below the line is still being written.

  1. 2019 Founded

Istanbul, and the first screening customers.

  2. 2022 Global data

Coverage went worldwide. First Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

  3. 2024 One engine

Modules consolidated into a single risk engine. Series A.

  4. 2026 Complead

One brand across screening, monitoring, fraud and cases, and a New York office. You are here.

  5. Next DACH, and deeper in the States

The next markets and the round that funds them. Still being written.

How we hire

Four steps, about three weeks end to end. You will meet the people you would work with, not a panel of strangers, and you will be assessed against the six values below as much as against the craft. Our founder reads every CV that comes in.

Application

You apply through the board below. Every application is read by a person, and by the founder for senior roles. No keyword filter decides your outcome.

2 days to a reply

First conversation

Forty-five minutes with the hiring manager. What you have actually built or sold, what you want next, and the honest version of the role.

45 minutes

Work session

A real problem from our work, discussed live. Engineers read and extend code. Sellers run a discovery call. No take-home that eats your weekend.

90 minutes

Team and offer

You meet the team and see the office. If it is a yes, you get the offer, the level and the reasoning behind both in writing.

What we hold each other to

Every company has values on a wall. These six are the ones we interview against, promote against and, when it comes to it, part ways over. Each one below says what it actually costs.

Be fair We apply rules based on values, not individuals.

Every candidate goes through the same four steps and every level is explained in writing. Nobody negotiates their way into an exception.

Believe in growth Better than we were yesterday, with challenges treated as lessons.

Interns take real accounts and real code. The fastest way to be given more here is to have done the last thing well.

Build trust Trust is not given, it is earned and then protected.

Hundreds of institutions let us see their customer data. That is the entire business, and it is why we hire careful people.

Take responsibility We own our decisions and our results.

You own a module or a region with your name on it. When something breaks the question is what we change, not who to blame.

Stay agile Change is constant, so we stay flexible and proactive.

Regulation moves and so do we. A rule that has to ship this week ships this week, without a quarter of committee.

Be transparent We share openly and act honestly.

Bad news travels as fast as good news here, and plans are shared before they are certain. Including with candidates.

What comes with the job

The real list, without the table tennis. If something below is not confirmed yet, it says so.

Private health insurance

Cover for you from your first month. Family cover available.

Lunch in the office

Cooked lunch every working day, plus breakfast and coffee.

Teknopark structure

Engineering roles sit inside a Law 4691 technology park, with the income tax treatment that comes with it.

Hardware you choose

The machine and the setup you actually work well on, replaced on a fixed cycle.

Learning budget

Certifications, courses and conferences in compliance, security and engineering.

Time off

Statutory leave plus company days, and the expectation that you take them.

Interviewing practice

You will interview candidates in your first year. Reading people is a skill we teach on purpose.

Direct access

No layer between you and the founder. Decisions get made in the same week they are raised.

Three offices, all of them on the water

New York on the Hudson, London on the Thames, Istanbul on the Bosphorus. Not a coincidence: money moves where trade moves, and trade has always followed water. It also means your commute is a boat more often than you would expect.

New York, on the Hudson

New York, on the Hudson

Open, and our foothold in the United States. Working New York hours is the difference between answering an American institution today and answering it tomorrow, and regulators there do not wait either.

London, on the Thames

London, on the Thames

Complead Ltd, our UK entity, a short walk from the river. Customer, partner and contract work for the UK and Europe runs through it, in the city that writes half the rules we build against.

Istanbul, on the Bosphorus

Istanbul, on the Bosphorus

Where most of the team sits, in Uskudar. Wooden houses in Kuzguncuk, a ferry pier close enough to be the default way home, and engineering, product, sales and customer success all within earshot of each other.

Placeholder covers use the brand duotone pattern system. Replace with real photographs of each office, processed through the duotone intersection method. No AI generated imagery.

Open roles

Every one of them on-site in Istanbul. Applications go through Workable and land in front of a person the same day.

Loading open roles from Workable

Roles are pulled live from our Workable board, so this list is never out of date. If it does not load, open apply.workable.com/sanction-scanner. Open the job board

Small enough to know every name. Trusted by 800 institutions.

Roles open across six teams, all in Istanbul. If you want scope earlier than a large company would give you, and you are willing to be in the room for it, we should talk.

Nothing on the list fits?

Half of our best hires were not applying to a posted role. Tell us what you are unreasonably good at and where you think it belongs here.
