In December 2022, Complead (formerly Sanction Scanner) was named to the RegTech100 for 2023. The annual list, now in its sixth edition, brings together the regulatory technology companies helping financial institutions with their most pressing compliance and risk management challenges.
About the RegTech100
The RegTech100 is published each year by RegTech Analyst. It highlights leading companies in areas such as onboarding, risk management, fraud prevention, and information security. At the launch of the 2023 list, Mariyan Dimitrov, director of research at RegTech Analyst, said: "With the rapid changes in regulatory frameworks, working habits and customer expectations, compliance, and regulatory technology continue to be a growing area of investment for financial institutions as they streamline their operations. The RegTech100 list helps senior executives get a better ROI on that spending by highlighting the leading companies in areas such as onboarding, risk management, fraud prevention, and information security."
What earned the place
At the time, the platform covered four areas of AML/CFT compliance:
- AML screening for both customers and transactions
- Real-time transaction monitoring
- KYC and KYB verification
- 360° customer risk assessment
The products were designed to take manual work out of compliance. AI-supported detection flags risk as it happens. The setup is API-first and modular, so a team can start with one product and add others later. At the end of 2022, more than 300 companies were using them.

Where Complead is today
Since then, the customer base has grown from 300+ companies to 800+ financial institutions in 70+ countries. The separate products have come together in one AI-native platform: sanctions and PEP screening, adverse media, transaction and fraud monitoring, KYB onboarding, customer risk assessment, and case management. The RegTech100 sits alongside our other recognitions, including our 8th place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Türkiye.
